    Default Plateau at night...

The Plateau Mont-Royal is a sector of Montreal that is well known for it's avenue (Mont-Royal Avenue) full of boutiques, good restaurants and night life. The Plateau is also known for the old houses that lot's of them are very colorfull.

Since last fall, I have a personal project of capturing the entire opposite of all this, capturing the Plateau at night and in B&W. It's giving up to now, interesting results! Here's a few

The alley... during summer days this alley is the playground for my youngest daughter, it's full of kids playing around and a few other dad's playing basketsball

Bain Levesque building (Inside swiming pool)... this one I took cause I loved the texture of the ciment the light gave.

La Maison du Cycliste, this a well known building amongst cyclist community

Leaves in tree are fuzzy because of the time exposure... usually my night shots are shot t around f/11, ISO100 and about 40 seconds exposure

    Hope you enjoy!

Cool set, Gaetan. Number 1 is my favourite here...

Liking the dark moodiness of the 2nd shot and the tree movement in #3...almost has an HDR feel to it.

I thought this also. Converting HDR to BW quite often works very well as you know

I like the 1st shot best myself. It's cool how I can see so far down the alley.

    Thanks all for your comments!
Actually, shot #3 is not really a HDR but very similar indeed!
Concerning shot #1 on the fullsize original you can see a man sitting on stairs that he seems to be talking on a cellphone :P

Another vote for #1 Gaetan, very nicely done.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
