As for the blue-ish tint: this is a black and white image, and it shows fine on my monitor, so I am wondering if it might be a calibration problem? I just bought a brand new monitor, a Dell 27" Ultrasharp, in order to have my images a bit more balanced and calibrated. But if my monitor should be out of calibration, I would like to know.
I have also tried to add more contrast to the image, and I find it looses the mood; I kinda like the softness of the grays, without a pure white and pure black in it. If one were to over emphasize the contrast a different, more 'harsh' looking image would be created.
But this is just my opinion.
