Kind of surreal

Last year my wife and I did a 10,000 mile train trip from San Francisco to Vancouver, BC to Halifax, NS and back. Amazing trip! All of the images I took were with my Canon G11. This particular shot angling up to the Golden Boy on the dome of the Manitoba Legislative Building in Winnipeg lent itself nicely to a kind of HDR effect in black and white. I did the B&W conversion in Nik Silver Efex Pro, adding a good percentage of contrast and structure, plus some vignetting to add drama.
