Very nice shots here. Wonderful light in the first two, those are probably my favorites of this set. Number 3 is very amusing, because he face is screaming that she doesn't want a photo taken of her.

I've come back to these several times since posting. The light is really interesting. You seem to catch highlights in the centre of each photo, creating a focal point with each composition. I have no trouble imagining the colored reality, because the black and white is so detailed. My favorite is the tea shop, with so much detail and action.

Excellent B&W processing. I like the juxtaposition of the worker with the loaded cart in front of what looks like an upscale store (Scalli Paris)

Thank you all for your kind words! I especially love BW street, so it's great to hear my BW conversions look alright here. Lately I've found myself using much heavier blacks. I blame W Eugene Smith

It's great to hear these struck a chord of some sort Part of my PP here is a large but gentle vignette, which (hopefully!) helps draw the eye to the centre of the picture. I think this is particularly effective in 1 and 6.

Thanks. I was actually trying to catch him when he was still to the left of the posh shop, but a car drove past right at the wrong moment! That sort of thing happens a lot to me

As always Thoughton, beautifully done street work. Your detail, and comp. is amazing, along with your pp skills to make these work so well. You really have an artistic eye for this type of photography, and I always look forward to seeing your end results.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

Very nice set. Your talent shines through, that is for sure. Love the light and the candid approach. Nicely done.
