    Default SB 600, 700 or 900

Alright, just got a cheque time to replace the flash.

I am not good with stats so if someone can help me out with their flash knowlege (as mine is pretty limited) what do you think?

I was going to replace the SB600 with the SB700. But I'm not to sure how the newest model is holding out? Why it is better?

Or should I just wait and save the extra and go all out for the 900?

If you need more info ask away.

    THANK YOU!!

First question I got - is why do you want to change? SB600 is a very good flash! Is it not performing?

Actually, on hand I have nothing. My batteries leaked in the flash, sent it to Duracell and they cut me a cheque for the cost of the flash. So now it's time to buy one.

I didn't get much use out of the first one, I was just learning how to use it. I have the 300S so I can now have the wireless to go with the flash where before I couldn't. I'd like to eventually have one or two more to go with what I purchase but not to sure if I need a "main" flash to do that or what.

I have zero knowledge of how all that works yet, but I do want to make sure I get things that are capable of doing things.

Ok then - let me get back to you on this as i don't know much about the sb700 - likely it has a bit more power that you may never need.

the SB900 - works well but is a VERY large flash that weighs quite a bit. It has all the bells and whistles that you may never need...not sure what your needs are for the future.
Personally, you can do a lot with 2-3 SB 600's but let me get back to you on the sb-700

    best - Marko

This link compares the 3 quite well. Nikon SB-700 Flash Specs vs SB-600 and SB-900 | Speedlights.net
Hope it helps and feel free to ask additional questions if anything is unclear.
