In your defense MA you were having your energy sapped by a wee parasite. Must have affected your judgment.

MAW you would have laughed at me in the camera store as I had two camera's in front of me going back and forth, back and forth........

the lens that came with it is AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 EdII.

Not quite sure what that means yet....

I'm off to watch my daughter play hockey, I will take it for a test spin.

    still over the moon!
Wow! Don't know how I missed this news. Anyway, congratulations. Don't be afraid to shoot with that puppy at iso 2500. Whole new world now, Bambi.

I don't know much about this thing you call "hockey". Is it something like hop-scotch? If so, here's a little tip for fast action under the lights. Go into the Shooting Menu and select ISO Sensitivity Settings. Choose a minimum shutter speed of somewhere between 1/500 and 1/1000 sec. Then turn the ISO Auto Control on. Nice sharp shots from there on out. Just remember to turn ISO Auto Control back off after the game.

Are you sure there isn't a "VR" in red somewhere in that lens description?

I would bet dollars to donuts it has the "VR", as I purchased a similar package from another chain store at xmas.
