Ok, I will be picking up this puppy tomorrow sometime in the afternoon, it is a fabulous camera, I have used on slightly different year and model and loved it. Anyone in Montreal or Southern Ontario recommend a good antique camera place. This one is fairly mint and I want to see about giving it a once over and I am looking for a Manual or a place where someone can help me.

I have also decided to refurbish my 1934 Brownie, had a good look over and could use a bit a loving but I have the original manual and service guide for it.With the Zeiss I have found nothing on it in the way of Manuals except through the States and I would like to find a good vintage photography shop somewhere between Montreal to Windsor and as far North as Sudbury.

I am considering 1895-1910 Large format Camera, though I want a glass plate camera I need to do some research before I go that way and I have not used a glass plate camera in over 25 years, I hope in two to three years I can the the other two I want. Also on the look out for a Rolleiflex Type 2, so 1945 and earlier incase anyone stumbles up one, feel free to let me know. That is what I am looking for next.

I will post a photo of it so you can see just the awesome beauty of this camera. And a dark room is looking less and less like an option, think it is getting the need more lol ...

Thanks for the links. The Zeiss when I got it home yesterday could not believe how stunningly mint it it is, looks like it has rarely been used. Outside the original case straps broke but the case is in still prime condition and I can fix it easily. When I wake up more later I will post a photo.

It is a fancier version of what I have and a newer model and I would be just as stoked owning that one, looks in pristine condition and the fact your mother owned it I can see the attachment to it. You ever use it? I just like vintage cameras, just think they are fun to shoot with and give you another perspective as a photographer. Yours you can add a flash on at least if you decide. I just find using vintage cameras a challenge, you really need to be old school to use one since you do not see what the camera sees and you only get the results when you develop them. I expect to burn through a few rolls of film before I get the hang of it again.

I used it 20 years ago and it was fun. It was during my experimental days of using pinhole cameras, large format, even played with dye transfer. I had a special fondness for gum bichromate prints from large format negs. I still love the old cameras and have thought of building a glass plate camera. Then I also love the modern equipment that allows me to make panoramic without having to find a whole circuit camera.
