More Herons

I forgot to add comment, sorry! The top one is a little dark but it was taken toward sunset and the Heron was in the shade. Because of the shade, the dry grasses on the bank reflected the golden colour in the water. The second image was taken approx at 08:30 am. again in the shade, but by this time, I understood a little more about iso and shutter speed

Ok Pas, I'll give it a try....

Both are GREAT shots!!! There is not much to critique on my part. They are both very sharp, the detail on the fish is amazing. I don't find the 1st image too dark.

Get what you mean Tiger, almost like the left is not needed. it would give a better composition as well. I had to improvise with the space in front Lol, nothing but grass and a flat bank in front. The first image and the way it has come out, has led me to soften a lot of my images and keep them darker than a usual exposure. I have done the same with some of my Stag images. almost like an oil painting effect. And, I really appreciate the time both you and the others have taken with my images.

If you didn't notice, I edited my critique. I was not viewing the entire image and it looked cut off just to the right of the fish's tail. I had to save the image to my phone and than view it. The placement is perfect, just off center to the left.
