    Default Book of Love

Well I haven't been on here too much lately, mainly because I haven't picked up my camera in a while. Anyway I took this today just on a whim. I copied a photo I saw because I liked it, and I wanted to see how I would do at it. Pretty simple, took the book and wedding ring with me into the bathroom and light painted it. Not much to it, but I like the concept. Comments or critiques always welcome!

I don't have any critiques but I like this. You must have to keep the light in one position when painting to get the shadow of the ring.

Thanks for the comment. I originally had a red filter for the ring, and flashed it behind the ring. Then I put a blue filter on for around the book. I thought the color was too gaudy so I turned it to black and white.

Nice work here! Thanks for sharing the technique.

Very cool play here, though the result looks a bit overexposed to me.

I suppose it is. Not the best method, because the exposure was crudely controlled by how long I kept the flashlight on.
