I didn't say I didn't like it - I do like it, in fact. Just that I think I would have preferred to see her face - of course, it's difficult to make judgements like this, but it's also what makes feedback more useful sometimes.

The head dropped certainly does help convey that mood, but in this case, the rest of the body pose works counter to that to my eyes - losing some of the sadness and confusing the message. Hence, why I would prefer the head raised - or a different shot where the whole girl is conveying that sadness, if you get what I mean.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's even harder when using a web res piccy, as the text would be unreadable, so it's a compromise. But ultimately, I try to make it big enough to create a distinctive identity, without overwhelming the subject of the picture...
