Chickadee

This is a discussion on Chickadee within the Critiques forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; I would've loved it if he would have looked my way, but other than that, thoughts? _MG_5787 by angiedeephotography , ...

Great image, love the colors, composition, etc. the biggest problem I see here is the bright yellow leaves in the foreground. They are brighter than the rest of the image, taking the viewer's eyes away from the bird. Other than that, its a great image.

BTW, welcome to Flickr!!! Isn't it great?

I really like the blur here, but I agree with you.....I just wish the bird were looking at us or had the bird been in more of a profile shot.

IMO, bird photography is one of the hardest types of photography to do well on a regular basis. Good shot for sure!

Agreed - now that I look, the yellow in the foreground is too bright. This shot was also taken before I started using PSE. So far, loving Flickr and I'm sure I'll love it more and more as I use it!
