I've always wondered what Pussy Willows were ... and I still don't know

Is it like a weeping willow? And these are some sort of flower?

Critique wise I guess it's as people have said above ... a very narrow DOF has only allowed one bud/flower to be in focus ... a higher f-stop would allow more AND possibly darken the sky a little bringing out more blue.

A pussy willow is a type of bush. I believe the furry white things are the buds coming out....certainly a sign of spring in here in North America. The buds don't stay on the bush all year but turn into leaves I think.
We also have similar ones called wolf willows also ..they give off an amazing scent in the late spring early summer and produce little white berry-type things...
Then there's weeping willows which are a type of tree that you sound a bit more familiar with....we have those here also.

I hope that clarifies things for you MA....

Thanks for your comments everyone also

Thanks Casil. Yes we have weeping willows so I assumed this was part of the willow family. I remember hearing about pussy willow in kids books I'd read when I was widdle so it's cool to see what they were on about it.

Looks like you got down low for that shot! Nice work to get all sky in the background. I'm not much of an emoticon guy but....
