I like the idea; well executed. I'd prefer to see the highlights around the ring reduced slightly. Have you considered doing a selective colouration on this? Mono image with the rings in bright gold?
Yeah I didnt much care for those highlights either, but I dont know how to diminish them without making it obvious its been photoshopped.
For me it's the background, I'm finding it a good 50% too dark especially the left side. I like the ring and the heart it forms but part of that section looks clipped. I do like the composition and forethought of this image.

Yeah, the background is a little dark on the left but also I'm not sure what the subject is, it should be the rings, right? Shouldn't they be a little more dominant? A lot of potential. I do like the spotlight on the rings, maybe a couple inches closer and down a bit?
