It took me a couple of looks to really like this one. I like the soft detail in the grasses at the bottom and the negative space. I would think about increasing the black level of the tree or some other way to make it pop out of the fog a bit more.

This one's not working for me, MoinMoin--sorry. I think it might be interestingly impressionistic without the tree, though.

I agree with marko, i want to like it. I think maybe if the foreground with the tree had a tad bit more detail it would give the picture more wow.

I love the feel of it. A little contrast would help boost it as mentioned before. I do see some dots, for a lack of better term around the tree..our left side. Not to sure what that is but I do find it a bit distracting.

    I like it though.

I think the nothingness in the background really adds to the strength of the shot. The way it gently fades into the grass at the bottom of the picture is very nice.

The placement of the tree and the amount of negative space really leaves no doubt to what the subject is and how it is isolated by the mist.

The weakness I fine here is simply the lack of character the tree itself has. Had the tree been something more interesting in itself then I would have loved this shot.

In total agreement, MA. But, I like the tree.
