    Wow, what lens did you use for this? As to tips, I would suggest a graduated neutral density filter which would keep the colour in the sky and brighten up and provide a little more detail in the foreground to add perspective to the shot.

    Quite a strong visual impact here! I think I would have liked to see the foreground much sharper or even blurrier.

    thanks guys! i really am very very new to all this, so all the tips and such are very welcome to help me learn! im just starting out in a photgraphy course, and am hoping to upgrade my equipment pretty soon. you might laugh at this, but all my shots are taken with my sony h5. i bought this camera while pregnant with my 1 yr old daughter, and it really helped me jump start my passion for pictures. its good for us newbies!

    As I have said before, it is the photographer who takes the picture, not the camera.
