Ok ... here's MY thoughts ... when a photo gets processed to the point where I think it's no longer a photo, it becomes an image to me. I therefore don't look at it as a photo any longer.

This one is bright and has some interesting blends of colour and I like the bridge that seems less affected by the processing but overall this doesn't appeal to me much at all.

However, I'm a person that seems to appreciate art that reflects realism more than abstract. Someone else may look at this and love it right off.

It's interesting to me but I no longer consider it to be a photograph. I like the shot though, it's pleasing to my eye.

To improve this image - if it were mine, I'd treat the processing part the same way as a regular photograph. The whole bottom 3rd could be burned in 20-25% imo. The bright tree at mid-top left should also be burned in maybe 50%. These over-bright areas are distractions for me. Hope that helps - Marko

I grew up reading comic books, though at a time when they were starting to market them to a more 'mature' market (DC's 'Vertigo' for example).

Along with this new style of story, came an exciting new type of artwork as well - and I spent countless nights captivated in the beautiful, artistic, and creative worlds of JJ Muth ('Moon Shadow'), Kent Williams ('Blood'), Dave McKean ('Sandman'), Bill Sienkiewicz ('Big Numbers'), and others.

That, combined with a great art teacher I had at school, likely explains why I have a real fondness for artistic experimentation and expression in photography.

I wonder though, if this image portrays what's was in your 'mind's eye'?

I like the composition and the colours have great potential, but to me the overall brightness/white-washing of the image seems to really, really 'overshadow' those key things??

I like it but I am knowing for going over the top on processing *LOL*I can see it on a mystery novel.

I would like to see a little more density

Printed like a painting, stretched to 16x20 on canvas, i think this would really work! The black signs are harsh and distracting though. I really like it.
