    No TT not really. It's a flash control.

    Normally your camera fires the flash the moment you push the button. So if you had a shutter speed of 1 sec, the flash would fire right away and the shutter would stay open for the rest of the second.

    However, on 2nd Sync (called 2nd Curtain also) the camera takes the photos with the 1 sec shutter but just as it's about to close, it fires the flash then.
    The result is a blur of movement because of the long shutter speed, but if the flash settings, light etc are right ... the flash freezes some of the action at that last moment giving you a photo with both movement and sharp elements.
