I submitted a photo to a contest a Montreal company called Photography Laureates I want to know if the company is legit? They sent me an email stating that my photo will be published in the coffee table book and that I was entered to win the grand prize but it seems kinda phishy because you have to pay for the book and membership. Has anyone come across this website or appart of something similar?

I really don't know..but after typing in the name - all I am getting is a lot of "Is this company legit?". That in it self sort of scares me.

I don't know of too many contests where you have to pay to get a book, membership..this and that. I'd be hesitant until you can get a conclusive answer.

Smells like last week's cod to me! Walk away. Any reputable company will tell you up-front if there are membership requirements or potential costs associated with their contest.
