    Thumbs up I love DSLRs!

I was just having fun shooting off some shots and learning about my first DLSR camera and I noticed how amazing clear and bright the photos are; not to mention very nice colour. I can't wait until I can harness the full power of this DSLR.

I also noticed how amazing fast the camera is. I can shoot off pictures almost as fast as I can press down the button. My old camera would take a few seconds time in between each shot.

Here is one shot I made that I liked as I caught my fathers dog while yawning. Funny enough it looks like she is going to bite something .

Yep ... just wait till you work out how to make the camera do what you need it to and actually learn to create a photo instead of just take one. Exciting for you because the learning is steep

    Hi Sclewin !
    So you're a Linux fan too ?

I was a fan of Linux SuSE, and actually Kubuntu was not bad at all, binary system.

Yes, I find that the Sony Alpha 200 works extremely well on Linux. I have no problems connecting and getting the pictures off the camera.

I also find DigiKam to be great, especially with RAW files. It even gives thumbnails for RAW images, and does it quickly.

I am lucky. My brother-in-law is the manager at a Sony Style store and he does not take any commission on sales to me. So, I got the camera at a great discount. Otherwise I would not be able to afford it.
