GIMP is a GPL software program. The newest version is now being considered a viable Photoshop Replacement. Here is a link to a quick review of the new GIMP 2.6. It is available for most OS's. I will be trying it in the next week or two. If you like me use a Mac it is a bit more involved to install, make sure you read the install page for your particular OS.

I started out with Gimp but found it too confusing for someone who has know idea what they are doing... I was thinking of revisiting Gimp now that my feet are on the ground... I'll check it out for sure...
