So I've been shooting a lot lately. It got overcast yesterday and so was the perfect time to re-investigate some local falls. Safety ropes were still up to keep people from walking on ice-covered boulders, but I ducked under those.
The last time I was there I tried photographing the part of the brook that got wide and played in the rocks, but I couldn't get as far into the water as I needed to and so this time I went for it.
But despite my goal of the shallow shot, I spent some time at the main cascade trying for a detail.
Anyway...this is one of the places I went. Cheers!

Very nice set, liking all three.

thanks everyone. I've honed my brook technique a lot over the last few months and I'm glad you all like what I came up with. I'm planning an ND filter purchase so will use that for even longer exposures in future.

for the Olympians in the house, I use the awesome Zuiko Digital 12-60mm zoom almost all the time and definitely for all wide angle shots. It is a supreme piece of glass, but then again Olympus users are accustomed to that.![]()
