Balloon Fairy

This is my little niece dressed as a fairy on her birthday a few years ago, blowing up a dark blue balloon.

I played around with tint and blend modes, as the original image was ok from a composition point of view, but a bit dull in colour terms. Not everyone will like the extreme treatment, but I liked the fact that the balloon ends up looking like it's lighting the entire scene - I added some vignetting to emphasize this...

Interesting, and cleverly executed, but I don't think the treatment is my taste, however, I agree, the way the balloon seems to illuminate the scene works nicely.

i like it..... i too often use my less than top notch image for post experimentation... most of the time they up crappy, but always a something to learn by them....

i like the warmth of the image
