New to portrait photography

Hi all.
1st of all I would like to say Hi to everyone.

I have only recently started listening to the podcasts and I rediscovered my love for photography after having bought a new camera and started taking portaits.

I will try to post images here from time to time to get some (constructive) criticism on some of my portraits.

Quite lovely captures, I would say. Love the processing and the eyes. I have to say I prefer the hand position in the second photo but both are quite lovely.

Yes I think so too, I edited the 2nd one "behind her back" as she didn't like that pose very much.

Welcome to the forums, these are great images, I think I agree that the second is the stronger shot. The high-key works well, and the eyes are nice and sharp.
