IT all depends, I recall really warm ocean currents sweeping up from the south very often. Pointe-du-Chęne N.B. is I think the warmest salt water beach north of the Carolinas. All depends on the currents.

Well it looks nice enough so it must be fine
I don't get into water unless it's at least 26 degrees C these days![]()
I was just thinking how long it's been since I went swimming with a Border Collie! Ours died about 15 months ago and a few years before that we used to take him out on the canal skis and paddle around with them. Getting i nthe water with him was a risk because he never stopped dog paddling even when you grabbed him so stomach scratches were prevalent!![]()

I think Border Collies just love water! Ours would lie down in a small puddle of water/mud anywhere he saw it. He'd even lie in the street gutter if there was water there. Winter or Summer ... it didn't matter.
In the summer we'd shear him like a sheep to try to help him keep cooler .... and he had his own little doggy pool of water![]()
