My thought was along these lines as well.
I really think it looks good in Orton ... which surprises me but it looks great!
Were it me though ... I'd now try to blend the original eyes through and see if that looks better. Failing that I'd dodge (lighten) those eyes up a bit.

Hey guys, thanks for all the comments, I have had a go at darkening the face, although I'm not sure if the global edit makes everything to dark? I wish now I hadn't flattered the image layers.

The orton effect works here wonderful - besides that she is already a lovely girl!![]()
Those eyes look so much better now!! I think the darker face works well also. That's a printable image for sure!
