Good on ya for trying this Casil!
It's a VERY tough one to do as we can see by this first shot; which is decent, but begs for a few more selective depth of field shots.

My challenge is that I am using one lens...my 10-17mm Fish eye lens (the one I am the least familiar with and find most technically challenging to get right) and taking a shot every day for the month of September with this lens.
Here is my day 1 shot..... I have envisioned this one for a while now and want to do a version in every season. I thought it may be a good one to start with. I do think my DoF choice was a bit too shallow so I think I will give it another go with a larger DoF next time.
Anybody else feel free to tell us about your personal challenge and add your day one shots!![]()

My challenge is to take a shot in manual mode every day.
Since it was quite late in the day when I decided to take part, I went for a shot from my bedroom window. However, getting the shot to look halfway decent proved quite a challenge!

Please offer constructive criticism on my shots - I am always willing to learn!
Nice one Odyssey! It seems a tad bright IMO so I would drop the exposure down by a 1/2 stop or a even a full stop. That way this would bring out the beautiful skies colours, accentuate the cloud detail and strengthen the dark shadows that I can see in the photograph. Also in this case, it seems to me that the really beautiful sky is the main player here so if it were me, I would perhaps try to include more sky and less horizon. I think you have a lovely shot here regardless.
Hope that helps....

Here's my contribution for the Day 1

Lovely capture, Iggy! I think I would like to join in if no one minds.I will be using the Nikon D60 with the 35mm 1.8 lens attached. Since the lens is so fast, I will try to do only natural light or available light captures as much as possible.
The Nikon D300 which is out of the running but which I still have to use for work, etc.
Exif data is Nikon D60 at 1/160 f2.8. A 4T close up filter is attached.
I started an album in my profile for the project. I hope there is enough space on there to load 30 photos! I thought it might be a nice idea if anyone else wants to do it then we can look at each persons daily photos altogether

Looks like this will be a popular idea after all, casil. Can't wait to see what people come up with.
I'm in. I will use my 'kit' lens that came with the camera for all of September.![]()
