    Michaelaw, that's gorgeous. Great the focus on the body and then to see the blurring wings.

    Thanks all....I was getting pretty frustrated in the end as I was using the 70-300mm which is a slooow focusing lens if it starts to hunt. Used the d90, 70-300mm, ISO 1250, 1/750, f5.6. I used 1250 ISO to get the shutter speed up to freeze the wing action. This ISO speed is the last stop before noise on the d90. Standing on a bridge with a hovering Dragonfly between me and the water. Frustrating work to say the least as more often than not, just as you get the shot dialled in, Mr. Dragonfly decides to speed off...GGgrrrrrr!
    And when exactly are the "Cows" due home?

    Holy crap. So you really did pick him out of the air. Amazing is all I can say. I can't imagine anything more difficult.
