Hi Everyone,
I have just joined this excellent looking forum with the hope of obtaining some opinion and advice.
I am a recent BA Honours graduate and am looking now to take my photography onto the next level, by next level i mean contacting galleries with the hope of being exhibited with them and publishers to publish my final project photobook.
I have attached 5 images that give a sense of the kind of photographs I take, the names play an important role in each of them and are as listed.
The Housewife Spectrum
Introversion Extroverted
KnickKnack Racial Segregation
Glimmer
Cold Custard
The advice I was looking for was on the creation of an electronic portfolio, I have hundreds of images of a similar type and am unsure of the layout i should use, the number of images i should use and the added text based details that should be included. I want the portfolio to be the followup via email to a telephone conversation with the galleries i feel i may have a chance with and so of course i want it to be fitting and to make an impact. I figured using photoshop to create the portfolio would be the most effective way though I am open to suggestion, perhaps a PDF?
So i think that is it really, can any established photographers reccommend me an approach to take to making an electronic portfolio?
Any advice would be fantastic.
Matthew Mullin
