Default famous photographers whos work is in sections or part of a series?

Hello all. I'm doing a little research on this subject.

Does anyone know of any famous works by photographers where the photo is supposed to be displayed in sections? (123, abc) etc...

The kind of work where the photograph (or theme) isn't really complete unless you view as a set or series? Is there a name for this type of work?

(actually any input on this type of art photography, painting, sculpture etc would be GREATLY appreciated)

    Thanks everyone
    ;-)

Default found out the term is called "triptych"

    BOOTSPHD (Stan) from

gave me the details of the artform "triptych". Anyone familiar with this term and famous photographers who use this method?
