Default Slightly stuck on adding borders...

...my apologies if this has already been asked a million times, or I'm in the wrong place.

I have seen some photos here with really nice borders added - particularly by Mad Aussie, where you can then add in a signature or photo title.

I have access to Photoscape and Paint Shop Pro but I can't seem to find a decent, plain black border on either of them which will let me alter widths etc etc. The nearest I've probably got is an editing tool on photobucket, but I don't tend to use the site that often.

Can anyone tell me what the best way is to add borders around photos? Many thanks!

I would imagine that you can download scripts for borders/frames for PSP.

I make mine though in Photoshop. I simply make a black rectangle with the signature on a separate layer, and the titles centred etc. I use guidelines to show where the photo goes and save the file.
Then after processing a photo I resize it to what I need for my border/frame and drop it onto the frame, change the titles, and save for web and upload to my Flickr account.
This works for me because I always keep my photos at the original aspect of 3:2 so my frame is perfect each time.

Paint shop pro will let you add a border of whatever colour you choose. You can also do exactly what MA has done.
