    Default Buddy Holly

Feb. 3 2009 was the 50th year of Buddy Holly,s Death. The story in NPR, but not why I bring this up, enlarge the first photo of him, to me that is a masterpiece of a head shot, think the tones are perfect, the lighting is top notch.

Until you mentioned it I'd never really looked at this photo closely before. I guess it was just Buddy Holly. But you consider it to be much more than that and I look closer and consider when it was taken, the photo is definitely well done. The clarity of the eyes and lack of shadow on them created by the glasses certainly show nice lighting. The shadows created by the glasses give an almost 3d effect, and the composition itself is interesting. I keep thinking if he straightened up his head would be cut off
