For me, I would have to go with Annie Lebowitz's portrait of John Lennon, taken just hours before he was murdered.

Fabulous question. Now I have to think. Hmmmm

I'd like to think our choices aren't based on monetary value though, just on what 'grabs' us.....

I know the image is valuable, but more importantly, historical.

But one that I remember seeing years ago and I do not know who the photographer was nor even how to find it. Help me! It is of a priest crossing St. Peter's square early in the morning and wearing the traditional long black robes. He is alone and spinning Gene Kelly style. He just seemed so full of pure joy.

It would be one (or hopefully some) of my earlier photos from the 1960's which I no longer have. Foremost is my all-time favourite b&w of my daughter from 1978. It and the negative was lost in a move and I still think about it once in awhile. I'd give just about anything to have it back.

As I m a newborn baby photographer…. I love the work of Anne Geddes baby pics…
Instead putting the photograph into words I would like to post a pic which says itself more than words…
