Ruby Beach is about the southern-most beach on the coast that has any real photogenic qualities, and it's quite popular for that. farther north, near the Indian fishing village of La Push, there are some other great beaches... if you recall the sunset shot in my first post, that was taken at Second Beach, about a mile south of La Push. it's another favorite with photographers, for obvious reasons, but even there, it's a hike to reach the beach from the nearest road...

beyond the fact that this is a killer image , the information that you gave is just as awesome!!! it makes me think that what we need is a guide book with these kind of descriptions - for photographers or whomever would enjoy getting off of the beaten path for some of natures glories!

SO, here is a thread that can be devoted to that kind of information.... a place to post the hidden treasures of the land... in your thread title, maybe post general location..then in the body of the post, more of what squirl033 did - a description of what makes that place magical...somehow, we need to come up with a way to map it as well.... more ideas of how to make this thread a great resource is most welcome!!
