    Smile Newbe

After many, many years of using a Olympus C740, I have decided to step up into the DSLR world. At the present time I'm pricing out a Nikon D90 w/ 18-200 VR II and a SB 600 to compliment the package. Any thoughts on the package would be appreciated.

Now I'm tossing the idea that maybe I would be better off with a:

    18-105 and a 55-300

    Welcome Norotso!

I'm a Nikon guy and i purchased recently the 28-300 recently. It's a fab lens for outdoor shooting! many people hate changing lenses so this one gives you good versatility.

Keep in mind that one of the KEY differences between cheaper and more expensive lenses is the Aperture of the lens. Fixed apertures with larger apertures (smaller F number) are more expensive partially because they are much brighter which makes indoor shooting SO much easier.

Okay after more reading and self education, staying with the 18-200, will invest in a good prime and macro in the future.
