    Default Greetings from Toronto

    Hi,

I love photography but just ok at it. I think this is a better trade off than not liking photography but being good at it

I am particularly interested in fine art photography, however defined.

I now live in Toronto, Canada, although at one time I have called both the States and England home.

I work as a Unix programmer but I live to just walk around. I am interested in art, all types, but my first love is the ancient world of the Greeks.

I over-photograph the same thing as if mere repetition will make the shot better. It never does. I have to be careful there.

I love the paintings of Hopper.

Looking forward to joining this group.

    Thanks

    Welcome aboard!!!

This is a great (the greatest) photography forum around. You will learn a lot. I joined two years ago as a sub-novice photographer, now I can hold my own (still learning). Listen to what these guys say, their critiques, and you will get better.

Now post some images, let's get you started. If you post an image directly to the site, it cannot be over a certain size or the image loses detail/sharpness(look in forum for size, I forget). Best thing to do is upload to Flickr and post from there. That way you can post any size.
