    Default Hello

Hello all. Happy late Christmas! It is great to be here.
I am just a guy from Montreal, Qc (not originally). I first picked up a camera in late spring of 2016 (went with mirrorless right away without knowing how to shoot regular DSLRs and what to expect. But it turned out really great). I had no previous photographic experience or learning programs. I realize now I should have, probably (that would have saved me time).. I since then watched about a million hours of tutorials and simply photography related content and made a lot of really bad photographs.
I have been putting off too long sharing my late work as I am afraid it might not be interesting at all to anyone. I find my photos generally suck in most occasions. But, recently I have put together most of it and got it up on a website. I will post a link to it below.
Clearly I need to shoot more often to gain some confidence and momentum to be more in my creative flow. I welcome all criticism and feedback of any kind if it will help me grow in the general fine art path.
So I will shut up now. Thank you for letting me be a part of this.
    My website page is http://www.thenakedeyephoto.com
Including here are my latest photos I took on Christmas. (hope you can see them because I can't tell!

    Welcome Artour,

I don't think you should be shy about sharing your photos. I have looked at your website and Instagram, and I REALLY like a lot of your photos. The first 2 on your website in particular really appealed to me.

The photos you have included in this post tell a story to me. The emptiness of the urban landscape is effective given the current state of the world, and work well as a set. The high contrast processsing is very effective

Although this forum isnt all that busy these days, the people on it are friendly, and you can get some excellent feedback on your photos if that is what you want. If you seek critique on particular shots, I suggest posting 1 photo at a time in the critiques thread. By only including one at a time it makes it easier for those commenting, and if it is in the critiques thread you will tend to get more detailed and honest feedback (as opposed to instagram where every photo is the best shot ever taken )
I welcome all critique and comments on any of my photos

Welcome to the forum. I can second what Runmonty said above about the forum. I enjoyed the three photos you posted as I am partial to shots with reflections and odd angles. The last photos with the twisted perspective is quite intriguing with the very low angle. Well done. Please keep posting.

    Thank you. That's very kind.
I absolutely agree about the instagram part. The feedback there is completely unrelated.
    Cheers!

Who doesn’t like good canvas prints? The challenge is, how do you know you are getting the most for your dollar? You go to Google and there seem to be hundreds of companies offering canvas prints, and every canvas company claims to be the best. On a side note, you can find tons of information about everything related to photography on our website PhotographyTalk.com.
