    Default Haunted by the Past

OK, since I suggested it, I'll throw something up here (I'm more certain of the concept than the execution, though).

Aren't we all in part products of not just our experiences, but of those that came before us? For better, worse, or something in between, don't the experiences, habits and traditions of our ancestors influence how we grew up, what we did or tried to do, and how we felt about the world around us?

I don't know if this is exactly haunting but it's in the spirit of Halloween. The fog was very spooky when I went in search of my haunting photo and I found these webs. Name: 20131010-DSC_0685-Edit.jpg

Halloween, haunting - it fits. The mood in the second one is especially good.

I've been looking at definitions and synonyms for the word, to see what ideas that sparks. I'm letting it sit in the back of my mind, and hoping I'll have time to try something more. The definition as a verb intrigues me, but I'm not sure what to do with it.
