    Default The "I predict" followup

It was bugging me why nothing happened in November, the buzz on the net was simply incredible. I thought it would be something big and immediate having a BIG powerful blast...It never came. So I dug through my bookmarks and notes to get a handle on how I perceived it wrong. I started to notice the common theme in the November buzz the essence of which was a "Tipping point that would change our way of life" I thought it would be a more immediate BANG by something that would mess us up at the time. Silly me...The Wikileaks large cable release I now think could have been this tipping point. It's just a piece of glass in a pile of dry grass in an August sun right now but it has the potential to turn into a firestorm. The first cyber war has begun. I'll be surprised if anyone can get this genie back in the bottle.

Ok, Michael, you are stretching a bit here I think. I like a good conspiracy like the next fellow but I think if you pick any given month of any year you could find something that happened somewhere in the world that would be the "tipping point" for a particular subject.... or maybe I'm wrong and the end is neigh.... I think I'll not worry about it much and just continue on with life

I'm with Iggy here MAW ....
I'm certain those folks in Haiti thought the end of time came during the massive earthquake that leveled their country earthquake earlier in the year. I'm sure the thousands and thousands affected by the flooding in Pakistan this past summer thought it must have surely been the end of life as we know it.. And think of all the people affected by the oil leak in the Gulf whose livelihood depends on the health of the ecosystem..I'm sure they must believe this is the end as well.
On any given day, things that affect people on any level on a humanity basis believe their personal area of the world is coming to the end....I saw people that suffered traumatic brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, MS, Parkinson's etc. etc. and I'm sure every one of them are far more concerned with their own personal version of world at end/Hell (trying to relearn to walk, talk, dress, use the bathroom) right now than what is going on with Wiki leaks, H1N1 etc. I guess in the end it is all about perspective.
For me ....Life is too short as it is to worry about the what if's...I would rather just get out and enjoy it and live, love and laugh at life while I am able and have the health to do so!!!

Well some people collect stamps, others butterflies, pressed flowers what have you. My hobby is tracking news and events on the net in an effort to connect the dots. I stopped “Worrying” many years ago at least in terms of world events and how they may apply themselves to my lifestyle. If you have a few minutes, watch the guy in the link I’m providing below to get a feel for what it is I do in my spare time though clearly Mike takes it to a higher level than I do

More and more we see a revolution of sorts taking place online where ordinary and some not so ordinary people are trying to “shake it up” if you will. Obviously this would be a very long read if I got into the mechanics of that angle so suffice it to say that more and more people are waking up to the idea that something is not right with our earthly way of conducting our affairs. Wikileaks in my humble opinion will be seen as the spark that started the “Great fire” if you will. The loose association of hackers known as “Anonymous” who attack those who would seek to oppress Wikileaks are probably just the tip of the iceberg (I’ve gone a bit inside that world and believe me, these guys shoot to kill and take no hostages…I would not want to aggravate them). So for me this is a darned interesting ride but nothing that’s going to make me loose sleep, not because the information is null and void, far from it but as I said earlier, I worry very little about anything in life. This is not an event such as a flood or earthquake where one would clearly recognize that the calamity was a localized event applying to one directly and not affecting the rest of the world though I guess you could equate it to a global outbreak of H1N1 in terms of its potential reach. Of course the irony here is that the unfolding events are fueling the fire big time for those who seek to severely restrict the free flow of information on the internet and hopefully groups like “Anonymous” will take heed but from what I’m seeing from my tender footed trip through their domain this is not the case, rather, they see it as an all out war to wage until the system collapses. One cannot win a war if one is concerned with damage and destruction. Posting up huge lists of hacked personal credit card numbers of late clearly shows the ruthless nature of that beast not to mention the periodic attacks on Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, Interpol along with Sara Palin and Lieberman’s sites. The pressure is high right now, higher than I’ve seen in my lifetime and IMHO, this latest series of events will be looked back upon in recorded history as the event that started a revolution.

Interesting. Don't get me wrong, I'm not "dissing you". I find that stuff interesting as well. Conspiracy theories, 9/11, Roswell, etc., etc. I kind of think a bit along the lines of Men In Black where they get the "real news" from the tabloids. I think there's a lot of truth buried in these things... just not sure that it's well understood what is truth and what is psychosis.
