    Default remember me?

Hey guys....I've really not contributed much of late I know. being director of audiovisual services in a fair size hotel has kept me busier than I ever thought it would. a lot of my free time is taken up by catching up on laundry, cat boxes and blah, blah, blah. Whatever time is left goes into a few interests but photography has really suffered. Drumming is still popular with me as a hobby but after a year or more I wonder if my improvement is worth the effort? I'm about to go into another month of hell because it's April and the hotel is getting busy and I've also agreed to put together a video for a non profit group which I know is going to smash me across the rocks. I'm going to try and get active in photography again so should be more active in a month or so. Below is a link to a drum session I did this morning basically to see if I could record video on a GoPro camera and match it to audio recorded on a Zoom H4N without too much stress. The upcoming project will require a fair amount of this. Anyhow, the test worked and I thought I'd share the results...Cheers

ETA: Well, I guess after a year I'm getting somewhat better. I just compared the latest effort with the first. I'm surprised I posted the first LOL!

Great to hear from you and it sounds like things are going well so it's all good. I look forward to seeing some of your photos again when you get time to get out and shoot. At least you have a good excuse. Mine is just the winter doldrums killing me again but it appears as though the weather here is turning a corner so I expect to be getting out more.

The drumming videos are way cool. You look a lot more comfortable in the new one. I suspect that many times when we practice things such as drumming (or photography) we get much better than we ever think we do.

    Cheers!

Thanks Iggy...I'm getting way more comfortable with the drums but feel I should have started way before I was 57. It's not that I didn't want to but the damn things are LOUD! I just never seemed to live in a place where I could get away with it. We do most certainly get better with practice in everything we do, taking pictures, drumming, driving, loving....You name it! I will have new images soon enough, you can count on it I'm also going to get involved with a lot more creative video projects.

I vaguely remember you. But then I've been vacant from here so long maybe I'm the one who's vague?

Well you've kept your hair for another year lucky bugger!

Good on you for keeping at it on the drums.

I'm trying to learn guitar at an intermediate level (after being a newbie/beginner for decades) and that too is very hard for me....I'm going super slowly but it's fun.

Good to see ya again Maw!

Thanks Marko...Hair is not the issue for me, it's all the creaks and moans of a tired system and the powers that be, working that system to the fullest for the coin to live Retirement?...WTF does that even mean? Good on you for keeping up with the strumming, I have three myself though my passion seems to be the drums and...Oh yes, photography...I'll get back to it soon I swears it!!!!!
