The Beach

This is a discussion on The Beach within the People photography (portraits, sports etc.) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; I should have added an "extreme processing" warning, as I realise it wont appeal to some people. This was deliberately ...

    Default The Beach

I should have added an "extreme processing" warning, as I realise it wont appeal to some people. This was deliberately heavily processed to be a dramatic cover for a song on a music streaming site.

works for me. Some of the colours are pushed to the boundary (Most notably that bit of blue sky at mid left behind the subject) but it's not bothering me too much.

I'm not a fan of overly processed photos myself but this one doesn't seem over the top to me and I like it.

I'm one that likes pushing the boundaries in PP. I like every thing about this. I think you did a great job.

I have never been a big fan of heavy handed processing, and I find this very tastefully done. Excellent work with the pp, and the point of view for this one.

Thank you all. It looks like it wasn't as offensive as I thought it may be.

Lots to look at here. The parallel waves in the sky and sand make an interesting counterpoint. The subject's shirt and pants form an offset horizon and focus, almost directly on the thirds of the photo. I like the blue sky behind him which gives a lot of additional depth to the photo. Very well composed and processed IMO.

I normally don't like this type of extreme processing, however it works for me here.
