Thanks and haha yes, that is probably what it was. I was turned around taking the picture from an odd angle while sitting. So it was probably a thumb or perhaps even a pinky. :(

    - I like the sheep shot fante but wish you had gotten a bit closer...I'm guessing sheep scare easily though
    - TT - I like the experimentation
    - Scorpio_e - I like the orange in the background, and agree with TT on the tree in the bkgd
    - tekguy22 - I like the angle. Shot doesn't seem sharp enough though, and a bit oversaturated on my monitor.
-Captureevermore - I like the rushing water and especially like the part in both images where the rock peers out from the water.
    - Wymasa - I like the lines in this shot and your take on the assignment. Left side seems a bit too bright though.

Nice shots everyone! Keep submitting seconds and thirds if you like!
Theme changes in under a week.

    Default Rise and Fall

So I went out for a walk this morning, and seeing as there's plenty of leaves around, I figured it might be an opportunity to submit something here...

    Rise and Fall

I got these from lots of different angles - had some nice ones where the sun rise rays were illuminating a fallen tree, making the "rise and fall" theme even stronger, but in the end I went for this one.

I have to admit though, in retrospect, what might make it *really* cool would be to have some kind of subject in that corner foreground light, with perhaps a bit of fill flash to illuminate the front side.

Either a person, or some inanimate object, like a pumpkin or something (not that we do that here in the UK). I'm reminded of Rick Sammon's phrase "Making a picture, rather than taking a picture"...
