Default September 2011 - photography assignment - Yellow

Hi members, it's sept 1 already. Got any ideas for assignments.

here's a couple of suggestions - feel free to support them or offer up others and the themes with the most support in the next 24 hours become the theme of the month.

    Regular assignment suggestions:
    - fall colours
    - yellow

    Level 2 assignment ideas
    - Shoot from ground level
    - Playing with perspectives
    - Macro of any kind

I like all of the level 2 ideas so I'm no help.

Fall colours doesn't seem fair for our southern members and someone posted an idea in some thread, damn what was it?

oh I remember now- how about shooting in hard light? it would go with the podcast!

Although I appreciate your enthusiasm theantiquetiger - your post is premature.

The topics have not been decided yet as per post 1. (No worries though )

The topics will be chosen tomorrow. These are only suggestions. Feel free to support one of them or suggest another.

    Thx! Marko

I figured as much, I just happened to remember that yellow flower when you mentioned yellow.

As for a topic, since today is the official start of American College Football, how about football as a topic (any football, soccer, Canadian Football, rugby, or just kids in the yard)?

Along theantiquetiger's idea how about sports in general. i.e. Any sport

Just for fun, how about a photograph shot with a cell/smart phone?

    -------------------

Well not to many suggestions so I'm just gonna take the lead here...and not delete the antiquetiger's images.

So - The regular assignment for september is Yellow.

The level 2 assignment will be - Macros of any kind.

    merging suggestion posts now.

    Thx! Marko

I guess I will start it. I am cheating a little because I took these a couple months ago while playing around in the front yard.

Another attempt! As I don't have a macro lens of any sort, i am using my 17-270 lens with close up filters attached. For this one I used two filters; a +2 and a+4.
The narrow depth of field is creating a real challenge with living moving beings that won't co-operate as I try to get on the best plane for the shot. However the idea here was to fir with the theme yellow and also to capture the moment of licking pollen from the stamen of the lilly.
