Default October 2011 - Photography assignment - BW or Monochrome

I was thinking perhaps of B&W or monochrome such as sepia or selenium for the monthly challenge. Either by setting your camera for B&W or converting in your editing program.

For the advanced - window light perhaps? A portrait where someone is obviously lit by a window light would be ideal but an object or pet would be cool too.

I was certainly happy to see the participation in the colour yellow challenge that we had this month. I hope whatever we decide on we can get the same level of participation.

I like your ideas but I have two of my own:

Regular Challenge: Red -- There will be lots of red leaves and red apples in October!

Advanced Challenge: Creative Self Portrait -- Let's get out from behind the camera (or not if you have a mirror) and have some fun posing.

I'm for B&W challenge and (I don't know if it can express my option for this one) Creative Self Portrait for advance challenge.
So one from JAS, one from Iguanasan

didn't we just do creative self portrait this summer? I'm cool with it either way.

love the idea of window light. that would be fun.
I also like the idea of b&w.

Personally I am dying to do anther book/song title theme shortly in the level one challenge as we've not done one since Feb 2010 and I know we had awesome participation in the first one we did. That or things that start with the letter D which may be fun also.

Another suggestion would be to pretend to be on a photo shoot with Jay Maisel and just wander the streets of your town looking for interesting light, colour and gesture.
