Default Tools of the Trade Project

A little back story.....I am a bodyman by trade (collision repair tech) and for a few years, I have been kicking around the idea of showcasing the collision repair industry (from the standpoint of an average bodyman from an average American body shop) with a photo project. Recently, I was looking to create an image for my Facebook 365 project, and was this project was kickstarted with the creation of "Tools of the Trade". It is the first official image, and the ball has started rolling!

I decided to create a dedicated thread to this project because I do not stick solely to B/W or color. I create the image in a manner that the subject dictates to me.
Any and all feedback ( positive or negative) is certainly welcomed, so feel free to leave a comment, ask a question, or just add to the view count!

Nice shots! I like your project idea... would love to see some of those tools "in action".

Nice series and some good treatments on the photos. Funny though, my son in law is a body guy and his "work space" is as well organized as the one you show. Good luck on the project and don't forget to show us some once in awhile.

I do have a few ideas for some "in action" shots, but it is kinda tough to work with them and shoot them at the same time. We have slowed down a bit, and I might try to get the other guy in the shop to let me shoot him in action.....

Here's one shot from our "hope chest"....as in "you hope you can find the one you need..."

Cool addition to the motion assignment and this thread... I like the patterns in the metal and the flying sparks.
