Alright..guess I'll get it started. I know this is going to be such a good theme!!!
I will most likely add to this once Easter and a newborn arrive! Going to be a fun month for portrait taking for me..lots of firsts!
I chose this photo because this face is what you get when she gets excited over something, like her Cinderella getting her ballgown or kiss from her Prince. A face I think she will lose with time but loved always.![]()

Very cute photo! Her eyes are gorgeous. The only thing that bothers me is that stray hair in her right eye. I just have this need to move it away.![]()
Here is a photo I took of my friend Roger in the fall. I actually want to convince him to come for some available light portraits as I need the practice and he does not run away from the camera. I took this as we were sitting in a window at a restaurant. Not sure the desaturated treatment works but thought I would give it a shot.

is any photo of a human eligible as a portrait, or is this assignment mainly focusing on traditional style portraits?
Not at all ... the main requirement is that you take a new portrait for the assignment and not dig up an old one. The idea is that each month those participating actually go out and take something specifically for the assignment.
I don't think marko is even stipulating human at all but I think it is what he meant more than animals. Keep it tasteful and I think anything goes really.
Actually I was indeed thinking human portrait. Since no-one posted anything different yet, let's keep the portraits human please.
Many thanks!
