    I ran across this site called http://photosthatchangedtheworld.com/ . There are many famous photos that had an impact on peoples perception of the world, if they changed the world is a whole other debate. Worth looking through though. Caution: Contents May Be Graphic.

    Powerful photos!

    However, they seem to fall into two categories:

    1. Photos that truly changed the world, in as much as the photos themselves helped to bring about change:

    2. Photos that simply documented or recorded change.

    It would be interesting to get people's opinions on this interpretation.
