    Default Shades of Night

The QuietOne made me go out and revisit the "deadly" nightshade in my backyard (contrary to popular belief it won't actually make you dead, just make you wish you were for a while). Armed with my legacy 90mm lens I came away with a couple that I like. Working against me was the persistent breeze. The plants are spindly vines with sail-like leaves that move constantly. I could cut some and bring them into a controlled environment, but where's the fun in that?

and I call this one Dr. Evil's Tomatoes -

The resemblance to tomatoes isn't accidental; tomatoes are in the nightshade family which is why they were thought poisonous too for so many years.

Yes, it's all my fault. And indeed, why spoil the fun by taking things out of the wind? Great shots, looking forward to more. Will you be taking more once the leaves turn purple? (I realize that will be several months from now)

Oh sure, why not. They're just behind my back deck so they're easy to get to.
