Default Krimml Cascades - Europes highest Waterfall

I just saw some great waterfall photos from squirl and thought I would post something from europe.. after all we also have some nice cascades here.

Those are the Krimml cascades, europes highest ones with more than 380 meters in total. This is the last fall which drops over 60 meters. I went there during twilight. This is the perfect time to shoot there because they are yours alone and the light is just magic

    and here just before sunrise

    enjoy!

very nice... the HDR is a bit too "obvious" for my personal preference, particularly in the second one, but both are excellent compositions. that first one looks like something from "Lord of the Rings"!

@squirl: I never use HDR processing techniques ;-)
It's mostly layering of exposures and painting in specific detail. I didn't need to do to much to those shots, because the light in the morning was very even throughout the scene. First shot is one exposure and for the second I brightened the fg through use of a brighter exp and darkended the waterfall from a -2 exposure, so this together with the light might create this hdr feel.

    cheers
