I like the shot. Some rugged coastline by the looks of it.

The whites look horribly purple on my monitor though.

Nice! I like the feeling that the wave is coming right at me.

I'm seeing a purple colour in the highlights still. Not the wave itself, but in closer to shore in the surf. What program are you using to process these?

Like Corporallouis, I'm also seeing a purple tinge in the foreground surf. The second one is much improved but it is still there a little bit. Also I'm seeing the water under the wave a bit greener/tourquoise than I would have imagined it to be. I obviously wasn't there so that may be its true colour. Mind you I haven't colour calibrated my monitor for a while so it could be off a bit.

I've only played with PSP quite some time ago. I can't remember if there's a white neutralizer in there or not. You didn't saturate the greens or reds a tad did you? I know Louisbourg water is a funky green most of the time. Sometimes minor adjustments throw a wrench into other colours. I don't know if there's a "free" white neutralizer brush or action or whatever out there or not. I know Nik Color Efex Pro 3 has one, but that's $ $ $ $. I must see if there's one about somewhere. First see what happens if you back off some red saturation . . .

I do think red saturation is causing this, judging by the first post, which suggests to my eye some colour saturation due to the rocks being so lively on a dull day. The water 'out back' looks nice and blue ... a natural looking colour there ... the green wave, while bright, not over-done ... the rocks maybe a bit orange
This is where Lightroom is so good ... it breaks the saturation down to more colours, including purple, so you can back the exact hue off when it's too much.

So sorry Bambi :( I've turned this into a critiques thread by mentioning the colour issue.
