Default Experimenting with light, texture and bokeh

So a friend of mine and I went to a new location for us on Great Bay in NH, a Nature Conservancy preserve called Lubberland Creek (I know, what were they thinking?). I wasn't after a sunrise since the sun is really in the wrong position, but I knew it was a tidal marsh and wanted sun in grass and boy did we get it. Also got a new location that should give us good sunsets when the earth moves a bit.

    before the sun crested -

    after -

and some close ups in the direct sun -

If you have your Sherlock Holmes hat on, you'll notice the difference in the bokeh in those last two shots. The first was done with my 80s vintage OM 65-200 zoom on its close-focus setting, the second was done with my normal digital Olympus 12-60mm. The differences are kind of interesting and that was partly what I was playing with that morning. I'll see if one of the shots depicting the area is ok and post it. I really didn't take many, I was too entranced with the dewy grass.

My favourite in #1. Love the wind blown look in the grass.

Love the motion in the first two WD. As for the dew shots, really likin' that first one, with the tight dof, and the play of light combined.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
